The Design section provides tools to customize the visual appearance of your J2Commerce store, from the layout of product pages to the professional look of your invoices and emails.

Customizing Layouts​

If you want to change how J2Commerce displays content on your site, use Template Overrides. This allows you to modify the PHP and HTML without losing your changes during updates.

Customer Communications​

Control the professional touchpoints of your store through:

  • Email Templates — Customize the automated emails sent to customers.
  • Invoice Templates — Design the invoices, receipts, and packing slips sent with orders.

Design Best Practices​

  • Use Overrides: Never edit the core J2Commerce files. Always use the Overrides manager.
  • Test Printing: Always print a test copy of your Invoice templates to ensure they fit on a standard A4/Letter page.
  • Mobile First: When creating layout overrides, ensure they remain responsive using Bootstrap 5 classes.
